Rudolfshöhe

This month's post is a bit delayed, because at the end of June something bad happened in my life. This incident came as no surprize, I think in my subconscious mind, I felt it coming since at least two years. Actually... it could have happend years ago. Nevertheless it came suddenly and was a terrible shock.

Anyway, for this reason, at the moment I am kind of stuck in Vienna. I don't know how long. I only made one hike since my journey to LGM/France. Mr H. and I went up to the viewpoint Rudolfshöhe from Purkersdorf. The hike itself is short and easy. There are some uphill and downhill parts, but it's still more a walk than a hike. The view from the wooden tower is not super spectacular but actually really nice and definitely better than I expected. I highly recommend this hike/walk especially at the end of October or during the first week of November, when the Wienerwald has the most beautiful colors.

Maybe this is a good thing about this terrible incident, I mean the fact that I am kind of forced to photograph not so spectacular landscapes that are very close to Vienna.

Well... the day before this hike was one of the better ones, and maybe that's why I was able to photograph and edit photos, even though I am full of fear, sadness and pain.

I think this is one of the best shots that I took from the Rudolfshöhe tower, but it won't be on gallery.simon-a.info because it did not get very many likes/shares on pixelfed.social.

You can even see the Schneeberg from this viewpoint, but I'm not sure if this is a good edit:

And another shot from Ploumanac'h/Britanny that is not so popular on Fediverse, even though I personally like it very much:

This recent incident will probably chanage a lot of things in my life. I don't know if I will be able to concentrate on my work/photography during the next months, but for the rest of this year, I am or was planning to write reviews about KDE Neon, Kubuntu and Debian/KDE Plasma 6. But I will definitely not fly to La Palma this year, and after that, I am not sure if I will have enough money for such journeys.

Well, I am grateful that I had a great, though definitely not perfect life without any ups and downs during the past years. But I think they were the best years of my life so far. The Great Director's plans are a mystery...

Depending on the weather and Mr H.'s availability, one of my next hikes will likely be the Tulbinger Kogel or somthing similar. I don't think I want to go hiking alone in the near future.
