Only one hike this month, and one that I already knew, unintentionally: yesterday I hiked again the Welterbesteig Wachau part 12; however, in my hiking book, the end of the hike is Oberbergern, on the contrary to the official website, where it's Unterbergern. So this time I ended the hike in Unterbergern and right before that I visited the Ferdinand-Warte, which I hadn't known until now. Very nice viewpoint.

These photos were taken with my repaired M.Zuiko 8-25/4. No softness in the left half of the pictures any more. Thank God.

But I also want to mention that one week earlier, I walked a short part of this walk with two photographer friends. Although I am not a city photographer and only had my smartphone with me, I found the walk quite inspiring and photogenic. Actually it was Ines (the lady who took the photo of me on the landing page of this website) who discovered this walk. I could actually take about three usable pics, and one of them got more than 100 likes and 10 shares, so it will be in the gallery. My personal favorite is this one though:

Apart from that, there is not much news I guess. I am hoping to be able to fly to the Canary Islands in fall, I think that's mostly a matter of money. However, I don't know yet which island it will be: Gran Canaria or La Palma? I had been planning La Palma for years, but it looks like Gran Canaria is cheaper, and there is a direct flight from Vienna to Las Palmas, so it would be easier, too. I guess I didn't get enough ocean in Florida, I was in Miami Beach only for one day and it was the day when the waves were too big to swim. But if I fly to an island at all, it will only be for a week.

I hope I will be able to write about more hikes next month, despite the weather.
